GlinkMobile

GlinkMobile is a Pocket PC version of our best selling terminal emulation programs, Glink for Windows and Glink for Java. GlinkMobile supports mobile devices with touch screens running the Microsoft Mobile 6(5) Pocket PC operating system.

GlinkMobile is used to access typical transactional and database legacy applications running on Bull, IBM, DEC, UNIX and Linux enterprise systems. It has emulations for the IBM 3270 and 5250 terminals, Bull Questar DKU7107 and DKU7211 terminals, Bull VIP7800, VIP7760 and VIP7700 terminals, and DEC VT320 and VT102 terminals. ANSI 3.64 is supported for general communications work.

The product is a port of the .NET version of Glink to the Microsoft Mobile 6(5) Pocket PC operating system. GlinkMobile supports all mobile devices with touch screens running that operating system.

Our Glink .NET technology is already proven in the field as the foundation of our successful .NET version of GlinkWeb, and we make it available to developers as an API. GlinkMobile adds a Pocket PC Windows screen and keyboard interface to the .NET emulation technology to bring you a quality and proven emulator on your mobile device.

GlinkMobile is quick and easy to install. If you prefer you can download it directly to your mobile from our website in a single easy step. Installation starts when the download is completed. Alternatively you can download it to your PC. You have the option of downloading the glink.cab file and transferring it manually to your mobile device, or you can download the glink.msi file for installation on your PC. The MSI installation starts ActiveSync to automatically transfer glink.cab to your mobile device.

GlinkMobile is easy to configure. A couple of live host applications are preconfigured for demonstration purposes, and it is easy to add your own host applications.

When connected to a legacy system the emulation window scrolls automatically to display the area of the terminal screen where the cursor is positioned. You can double-click to switch between a small font that shows the whole screen and a larger font that is more readable. Scroll bars are provided for you to manually scroll elsewhere in the screen.

This Pocket PC version provides the emulations only, but they are functionally complete. To reduce the footprint for the Pocket PC version it does not support the Glink script language.
