Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0149: GUFT, problems with spanned end of data transfer

Product: Host Links 3.22,4.0.1 GUFT and GUFTsrv
Platform: All Host Links
Status: Fixed in 4.02 and 4.1.0 beta.
Last updated: 1996-10-08 11:22:00

If the end of data record (EDT) was spanned across 2 transmission
blocks, the session was terminated abnormally from the GUFT side.
This problem occurs if there are less than 7 bytes left of the
last (default 4000 byte size) transmission buffer.

Workaround: If the problem occured while sending with compression
enabled, try sending without compression (or other way around).
