Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0309: Glink 16 bit starts at 9.600 bps when configured for 1200

Product: Glink for Windows 6.0.0 16 bit version
Platform: all
Status: fixed in 6.0.1
Last updated: 1997-10-01 13:14:19

The 16 bit version of 6.0.0 using the Windows serial port API comes up in
9.600 bps even when configured for 1200 bps. If the modem is a golden-oldie
that doesn't understand 9.600 bps then Glink will not be able to
communicate with the modem. This may be a Windows serial interface API

The get-around is to use a start-up script to set the speed specifically to
1200 bps.

This is not a problem with the 32 bit version.
