Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0325: TNVIP does not support Two-Way-Simultaneous connections

Product: Glink with TNVIP
Platform: all
Status: fixed by patch in MainWay
Last updated: 1997-09-25 08:20:13

As noted in "E0321: MainWay TNVIP server hangs Glink" there is a serious
error in the MainWay TNVIP server when handling Two-way simultaneous
sessions.

Because the application does not have to respond to data entry
transactions, any data entry transaction would hang a TNVIP client
indefinitely, because the TNVIP server would not deliver the Telnet
'Go-ahead' signal. This leads the client to believe that the
application is not ready to accept input, and hang the client.

A fix has just been done in the Mainway version V2U2 by the application
of SER 75495. It will be ported in V2U3 Status 00 with the same SER
number.
