Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0416: GWEB did not create debug files correctly

Product: HostLinks
Platform: All
Status: Fixed in 5.2, fix available for 5.0.1
Last updated: 1998-06-17 14:34:40

GWEB did not create the debug file correctly. The debug file is enabled by the -dbg parameter (in the user section of the cpic.cfg file) and was supposed to be created in the debug structure belonging to the user running the GWEB process. Example path name:
  /usr/gar/debug/gar/cgi-XXXX.dbg
where XXXX is the 4 last digits of the process id (PID).

If the line parameters which was passed by Gweb included -d_ or -s_ line debug parameters (in the host section of the cpic.cfg file), the line debug file was not created either. If GWEB starts its own line handler on the local system, the line debug file is created in the same directory as above i.e.

  /usr/gar/debug/gar/cgi-XXXX.gli
In the case where GWEB runs via Ggate (on the local or a remote system), the line debug file is located in the debug directory belonging to that node. Example
  /usr/gar/debug/hl01/ggaXX-gweb.gar.no.dbg
where
hl01 = the local session control ID of the Ggate system
XX = sequence number of the debug file
gweb.gar.no = the IP address of the Gweb system
