Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0505: Gline NT, long server command line could cause crash

Product: Host Links, Gline
Platform: Any
Status: Fix available for 5.2
Last updated: 1999-03-23 09:16:48

If a 'server' process command line as configured
in the listener configuration file (config.dsa or
config.diw) or in the gservice.cfg (in the NT case)
was too long (approx. 150 bytes), a crash of the
listener could occur when such a server process was
attemped started up.

In the NT case all active host connections are 'threads'
in the listener and hence would be abnormally terminated
if such an error occured.
