Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0640: gl_tcp, garbled data in TN3270E mode

Product: Host Links, TCP/IP line handler
Platform: Any
Status: Fix available for 5.3.1
Last updated: 2000-07-20 11:25:43

When running a Host Links application in
TN3270E mode (e.g 3270 emulation in Gweb),
then occasionally some data could be garbled.

The corruption would happen to the first byte
of any TN3270E frame having a header sequence
number which included a 0x0D byte.

The TCP/IP line handler would also use an
incorrect sequence number in the positive
response message sent to acknowledge
correct reception and execution of the frame.
