Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0065: Glotus fails to connect to the Lotus Notes database

Glotus fails to connect to the Lotus Notes database with the error text:
"VIM: General failure" if the Notes server runs on a remote machine. This
happens even if your Notes client program is able to reach a remote Notes
server. According to Lotus Notes specifications, Glotus and the Notes
server *must* run on the same machine. The Glotus documentation is
now updated to reflect this.

On Windows NT, Glotus 4.4 consistently fails to connect to Lotus Notes.
This problem is caused by the fact that the VIM interface on a Lotus Notes
for NT requires a 32-bit program. Glotus version 5 is a 32-bit
application, and can therefore successfully run on NT.
