Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0726: GlinkW, script DEFINE failed with x1, $1, 0x1 names

Product: Glink for Windows
Platform: All Win32
Status: Fixed for 6.2.6 and 7.0.3
Last updated: 2001-08-23 14:22:40

Scripts containing DEFINE statement with define names of the formats;
xDDDD, 0xDDDD and $DDDD (where DDDD is any numeric value) was interpreted
as a numeric value rather than a defined name and therefore any reference
to that variable by it's defined name, would infact point to the DDDD
variable instead. e.g.

  Define 1 testdir
  Assign %testdir "c:\test"
  Message %testdir

  Define 2 x1
  Assign %x1 "1"
  Message %testdir

would display

Rename the 'x1' variable not use the preceding 'x' letter, e.g. to 'cx1'
