Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0818: Gweb, browser interpreted keys used in key table

Product: Gweb
Platform: All
Status: Fix available. Fixed in 6.0.1 and in 6.1
Last updated: 2002-08-17 10:00:38

When a key was added to the key table in gwebkbd.js and mapped
to a function in gweb.js, the standard browser function assigned
to the key was carried out after the gweb.js function. The
particular case was when assigning a cursor down (variable field
tab with wrap) to the gray + key. The tab function worked, but a
+ was written into the following field.

The keydown routine in gweb.js has been changed to return false
after carrying out the function assigned to a key in the table.
This generally suppresses the key. Unfortunately, it does not
suppress keys such as F1, which are still interpreted by the
browser (F1 starts the help). This is being investigated.
