Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0820: GlinkW, unable to remap the Esc to send IBM ATTN

Product: Glink Professional edition
Platform: All Win32
Status: Fixed for 7.1.4
Last updated: 2002-08-20 17:02:16

GLLAY didn't support remapping of the Escape key. This
has been requested for mapping the IBM ATTN function.

Glink has been modified to implement the IBM ATTN
function on the Escape key by default. GLLAY has been
enhanced to allow mapping the escape key via a pseudo
scan code. Typing the Ctrl+C option in GLLAY will now
display the following text for scan code translations:

  Some internal codes:
  2=TAB, 4=Scroll Lock, 5=Pause, 6=PrtScr
  7=Shift/Scroll Lock, 12=Right Ctrl
  13=Shift Insert, 29=ESC, 58=Backspace

Workaround:

Start glink with the following script file:

  abort none
  enable none
  on key ESC keys Alt-B
  online

or:

  gl.exe /s '=abort none;enable none;on key ESC keys Alt-B;online'
