Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0833: Glink processed characters after an Etx

Product: Glink
Platform: All
Status: Fixed for 7.1.4
Last updated: 2002-10-01 16:14:40

Affinity users have discovered that by inserting Etx (hex 03) in
their own text they can stop the emulator from processing
extraneous data appended later (in this case, cursor positioning
from TSS/IOF). Glink ignored the Etx, continuing to the real end
of data, and the cursor positioning was carried out.

Glink is fixed to be compatible with Affinity. This fix works
for the DKU emulation for all communications links where the
real end of data is known (Ggate and TNVIP).
