Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0852: Gweb, error when parsing some #macro# statements

Product: Gweb
Platform: All
Status: fix available for 6.0, fixed for 6.1
Last updated: 2002-12-23 14:17:15

A few of the Gweb facelifting macros required a white-space
character (space, tab, newline) after the terminating '#'
character that ended the macro.

If the character immediately following the terminating '#' was a
non-WS character, Gweb regarded the '#' as being part of the
word. This could, in some circumstances, cause the rest of the
facelift file to be ignored.

   #include file screen(22,27,5) .txt#
would not be parsed correctly. Avoidance procedure: Add a space between the macro and the
#include file screen(22,27,5) .txt#
and it will parse correctly.
