Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0870: GlinkW, 5250 didn't display 'block' character (0x1F)

Product: Glink for Windows
Platform: All Windows
Status: Fixed for 7.1.5 and 6.2.8
Last updated: 2003-02-28 14:37:36

Glink didn't display the character 0x1F, which is a character in the
character set extensions for the:

  3477-FC 27 x 132 display
  3477-FG 27 x 132 monochrome display
  3180-2 27 x 132 monochrome display
  3179-2 24 x 80 display
  3196-A1 24 x 80 monochrome display

This character looks like a rectangle that takes up the whole
character position, using the normal data colour. It is sometimes
used for drawing block graphics, in which case it would not appear on
the Glink screen. If the character was used in a FORM, then the
display of the FORM could be incorrect.

Support for this character and the horizontal line character (0x1E)
has been added.
