Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0923: GwebS display of Gproxy reports could fail 'file not found'

Product: GwebS
Platform: All
Status: Fixed for R6.2, fix available for R6.1
Last updated: 2003-09-25 07:33:00

Prior to each invocation of a CGI program, the web server
defines a number of environment variables, as defined by the CGI
standard.

Using GwebS, in some circumstances some of the environment
variables could be set to an incorrect value.

The only observed error is using the Gproxy "push" program,
"nph-push.exe". This CGI program uses the SCRIPT_NAME variable,
which should have a content of the form:

   /cgi-bin/nph-push.exe

Due to the GwebS error, this variable could instead occasionaly
contain something such as:

   /cgi-bin/nph-push.exe/gproxy/sysdat.ssi

This resulted in the browser attempting to reach e.g.

  http://jim2/gproxy/sysdat.ssi/gproxy/sysdat.ssi

causing the Gproxy "push" mechanism to fail with 'file not
found' reported by the browser.
