Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E0960: Gweb, Enter key gave 'protocol error' when used against turn

Product: Gweb
Platform: All
Status: Fixed for R6.2, fix available for R6.1
Last updated: 2004-01-12 16:21:34

When Gweb receives a screen from the application without the
turn it substitutes an 'Update' button for the 'Transmit'
button. The 'Update' button just asks Gweb for a refresh of the
screen, with any updates since the last display, without
attempting to send to the application (which still has the
'turn').

The JavaScript routines that are delivered with Gweb activate
the 'enter' key on the keyboard as a transmit command. This
transmit command was being attempted despite Gweb not having the
turn, and giving a protocol error.

This is corrected by making Gweb regard all transmission
attempts (transmit and function keys) as update requests if
Gweb does not have the turn. Only the break and disconnect
commands are sent to the application.
